    • Joining a Committee

    Becoming a member of a DSIC committee is a great way to widen your circle of friends, open up new opportunities, and get the most out of your DSIC membership. Owning or working for a business can always be time consuming with heavy workloads or obligations that need your attention.

    However, by becoming a member of the DSIC, attending every meeting is not required.If you can make an appearance at any meeting it would be greatly appreciated and worth your while. Connections, friends and rewards are only some of the perks to becoming a member of the DSIC!

    Committee meetings are a great way to connect and build relationships with other businesses and residents of the downtown area.

    Membership Committee:

    This committee help plan monthly business mixers and member events. It also creates opportunities to recruit members and helps them to use their professional and business skills to benefit fellow members and our community.

    Program Committee:

    Meets every other month and this committee primarily focuses on finding grants and creating programs that benefits residents and businesses in our community.

    Special Events & Fundraising Committee:

    Meets the last Wednesday of every month and this committee develops plans and executes all special events and fundraising initiatives for the Downtown SI Council.The special events and fundraising committee will also include media outreach and marketing.
